It’s Bill’s Birthday

This handsome guy is my dad. It’s his birthday today, and you have no idea how thrilled I am to be able to celebrate it with him this weekend. Well, maybe you do. He’s a feisty one, this Grandpa. He is kind, creative,  funny and a little mischievous. This is a dad (and Grandpa) who is crafty, in every sense of the word. When I was in Indian Maidens (a mother daughter YMCA program, Mom was Still Waters, I was Sparkling Waters…but I digress), we made invitations on shammies, burning the edges (you know, to look like hides). My brothers and I had spectacular Halloween costumes and lemonade stands. He built kites with the girls’ elementary school classes, and helped them with any building projects. And his Christmas graham cracker/candy events are world famous (2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008, and those are just the last 6 years).

We’re very, very happy it’s his birthday. We will even let him make a little ruckus, as one does when one his age, y’know? Happy Birthday Dad.

Happy Birthday to your wonderful Dad. He sounds a lot like my Dad. Amazing Crafty fellows! DIY before that was a “word”!

Happy Birthday, Bill! In 1984, we stayed at your house when we went to the Olympics. Thank you to you and your wife for your hospitality. Hope you have a wonderful day!

Holy Cow! I was in Indian Maidens too! My Dad is more of a duct tape and bailing wire kind of guy though. Happy Birthday to your Dad!
