yesterday in chicago

We’re here in Chicago to visit Kate. That is Kate, the oldest daughter, art historian, gonna be an architect. The one who knows Latin and horses and how to bake bread and make camp anywhere. She astonishes me. I keep looking at her, thinking, “You know, I knew you when you were a little kid, and I didn’t imagine this.” The weather is perfect, our place in Lincoln Park is lovely, and all is good. Welcome to Chicago, where my California daughter lives. IMG_6526 IMG_6531 IMG_6537IMG_6553 IMG_6556 IMG_6563 IMG_6560IMG_6587
