welcome to oregon, would you like to see something beautiful?

That’s how Kate describes Oregon…and it fits. California has plenty of beauty, but it takes a little work to get to it. But Oregon, it’s all right here for you to enjoy. We’ve had a multiple activity adventure, so it will take multiple days to share. Our first stop was Crater Lake, where Alex and Kate (who had flown out from Chicago a few days prior) had spent two days hiking in the snow. We arrived at our cabin and they were cuddled in the bed, watching the movie Frozen (inspired I presume). The four of us spent our first day exploring Crater Lake and then we headed up to Sunriver for part two. But I am getting ahead of myself…first beautiful things first:

Our camping resort–cute cabins, awesome grounds, great bbq, and adirondack chairs.

And to the lake…and yes, it’s really this blue.

And a little more exploring:

Pretty great, and we were just getting started. To be continued.
