blue skies, all day

It was a weekend in Tahoe with no snow, but blue skies forever. No kids along, but so many family memories following us. We stayed at Steve’s Aunt Pat’s cabin, for the first time without Kate and Alex. Some sad news greeted us, but it gave us a chance to reflect on what a great time we’ve had. This time the moments were about biking around, testing out the restaurant patios (since we were the only ones there, someone had to make sure they’d be safe for the others come springtime), finding pine cones bigger than our heads, and just pondering the blue sky. Heaven.

P.S. If looking at pictures of one of the most beautiful lakes on the planet isn’t your thing and you’d rather get advice about getting older (because that’s SO much more fun), check out my other website, fifty|fifty vision and a new piece I just wrote, Words from the Wisers.

    Love the pinecone portraits.

  2. Beautiful photos! Just be warned that TLC will call begging you to star in The Lady With a Pine Cone Face.

I might need to do an entire Tumblr based on pine cone portraits. It could be a “thing.”
