It’s true, I foolishly thought my parenting days were over. After all, Kate is 25, living in Chicago. Alex is 19, finished her first year at Oregon State, onto her second. Home from a solo backpacking trip around Europe, which she delightfully navigated, problem-solved and enjoyed with style. She’s here for two weeks…enough time to decompress, outfit an apartment (vintage style from Ikea? it can be done…and we will make the multiple trips to prove it), outfit a girl who always seems to need more jackets and boots, dinners and visits with friends and family, prep one’s Jeep for the migration north, tune up and fenderize a bike, write and design a resume, begin a job search, watch mind-bending movies with Steve, sort through photos, books, record albums (yes, record ALBUMS), baking supplies, and did I mention jackets and boots? And then there is a last minute Sunriver weekend to plan, a baby to welcome (plus two more on the way who need a pre-welcome), and seriously, this mama needs a glass of wine. Last night Alex left with a friend for a few days in Tahoe, and Steve and I sat in the patio, just to catch our breath. I believe my quote was, “This is so good, I should have had it for breakfast.”
It’s all personalI'm Kim and I have a few blogs (and perhaps an issue with over sharing, and too much time on my hands). My other two projects are www.fiftyfiftyvision.com and www.thisisplanbe.com. I also tweet at https://twitter.com/TheKimTackett and instagram at http://instagram.com/kimtackett. But here, it's all personal. I show up once a week, sometimes less, never more. I don't have a niche or a purpose or a plan. Just a few stories and pictures. Welcome to my personal space.
