chicago botanic gardens

We’re home. It’s warm(ish) and green. It’s quiet. It’s nice. There were so many great parts to the trip…it was layered, like the city itself. Last night Kate and I made a list of everything we did, and we even surprised ourselves. There’s more to share, going back to last Thursday. We picked up another Zip Car and the four of us drove out to the Chicago Botanic Gardens. One of Brendan’s professors suggested it for his research at the same moment one of my Flickr contacts posted photos. It was raining, so of course it made perfect sense to visit then (she says ironically). It was well worth the drive…spectacular. And layered, like the city and the experience.IMG_4221 IMG_4249IMG_4199IMG_4161 IMG_4189IMG_4115 IMG_4128 IMG_4113 IMG_4098 IMG_4110 IMG_4080
