is that you, norman?

On Friday afternoon Steve and I left work a little early and went to the Norman Rockwell exhibit at the Crocker Art Gallery. Previously, I had disregarded the show as Americana blah blah blah. It was that, and so much more, especially with his work from the Civil Rights era, plus the role of the magazine, and a nice little Herb Lubalin story. Anyway, nice outing and a fabulous photo opp (this was encouraged, I didn’t trespass)!

One Response to is that you, norman?

  1. Many years ago when we were in the Berkshires to attend a wedding, my husband and I toured the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge. Before that I just thought he was the guy who’s paintings were on the cover of the Saturday Evening Post, but now I know there’s a lot more to him and I have a new appreciation for his work.
