a small weekend report

It was a small but lovely weekend. The weather was perfect. I exercised like someone with intention.  I was crafty (rope, coffee cans and a glue gun, my kind of project). We saw the movie Moonrise Kingdom (quirky and delightful).

We started a big puzzle with our backgate neighbors. It’s 3000 pieces, and we’re going to finish it before Ian and Alex leave for college. It’s 3×4 feet and Steve found a big board so we could transfer it between houses. We worked in their backyard, under their lovely arbor (we both still have lots of map paper airplanes), listening to the kids’ music and discussing politics, movies, music and life. After Indian takeout and a little ping pong, we realized the puzzle board is too big to make it through any doors. It will need to be lifted over the fences and brought into their garage for safekeeping.

No worries though, we have until mid August to finish it.

Happy Monday.

  1. A 3000-piece puzzle traveling between houses? I see the makings of a sitcom disaster here. Safe travels!
