summer reading list 2012

Every summer (well, almost every summer) the studio produces a summer reading list. It’s always been an artifact of where we are in our lives, as well as a reminder that in summer we are allowed to slow down and enjoy ourselves. One thing is always true…no matter when we start this project in the spring, we always rush to get it out in June. The other thing I have to say, it is very cool to have a husband/partner to whom one can say, “wouldn’t it be neat if there was a little drawing of a tent made out of a book and the two of us were peeking out of it, reading our books?” and have it appear on one’s desk the next morning. Happy First Day of Summer!

I’ve read 3 of yours and have a couple more on my list. Love the tent!

  2. I love this, so envious of your creativity and partnership! I have to tell you that I savored The Happiness Project like a rich dessert. And I absolutely LOVED Bossypants for so many reasons – she’s a genius! Also, my dad visited this weekend and couldn’t stop talking about Steve Jobs (the book and the legend) so now that’s on my summer reading list too.

Loved The Paris Wife! Will be interested to hear what you think about the others.
