if it’s spring, it must be softball season

This has been going on every spring since she was seven. Most falls. Some summers. Same girls. Same parents. Same thrills. Yep, it’s softball. Senior year this time, which makes it extra special. This weekend they had three games and perfect weather. She pitched as the sun set…it was really quite nice. The girls didn’t win every game, but they played well, and they felt like a team. Can’t think of a much nicer way to cap her career. Happy Monday.

I have been following your blog for awhile. I found out that your daughter is going to help my daughter’s softball team with pitching. Yay! So exciting.

Hi Kim, yes, Alex has a blast working with the younger teams. She’s been playing with the girls on the high school team since she was 7, so it’s pretty fun to see the little ones again. Steve and I will go to some of the games, so if you can figure out who we are (the ones with the gray hair who aren’t grandparents!), come say hi.
