On Saturday Steve and I took Kate and Brendan to Napa. We started at the fabulous DiRosa Preserve, one of my favorite art collections ever…funny, provocative, accessible, disturbingly delightful. We made our second stop at Bouchon Bakery in Yountville for a snack, immediately followed by the best sandwiches ever from Oakville Grocery in Saint Helena. With sustanance in our bellies, we made our way to Frog’s Leap Winery, then up the valley to Cuvaison Winery. Oh, and then we stopped at Oxbow Market in Napa for the final snack/coffee event of the day. It was the perfect way to pretend that it wasn’t the middle of the holiday season, with an impending studio move and the task list (honestly, it’s like a clown car, if you know what I mean) to prove it.  It looked a little like this:
