a sun-shiny week

On Monday morning I rolled over to turn off the 5:30 alarm and fell out of bed. Like all the way, onto the floor. I did have the presence of mind to think, “it can only get better.”

It did.

Except for the moment when I locked myself into the garbage/recycling room of our building (shared by the Mexican restaurant downstairs, the hair salon, and others).

And the rat gifts (previously discussed here).

And the heat, which is returning.

But the rest of it…nice and relaxing and productive.  New projects, new quotes, clients who are behaving and being downright pleasant. There were salads and movies and crafts and beer and baseball. And tangerine popsicles. For the bonus sunshiny moment, free airline tickets to Vancouver (secret, pay college tuition with a credit card that provides frequent flier miles).

Good enough. For sure. And a soft landing into the weekend. Grateful for it all.
