featuring steve as the big tractor dude

I just now decided that this is going to be a photo week. And here’s another…

So y’all know my husband is an artist. A designer. One who draws for a living. He is athletic and all that, but he falls into the category of “really nice guy, gentle man, kind-hearted soul.”  Everyone likes Steve, because there’s nothing not to like.

A few weeks ago he was art directing a photoshoot for an engineering client. They were out on the river, on a giant levee-building project (the one that will save Sacramento when the Big One comes). Gordon, the photographer, took this as Steve was showing the workers how he wanted them to be walking towards the camera. But between you, me and the internet, both Steve and Alex were pretty excited about this shot.

Alex said, “Wow Dad, you look so important with your hard hat and stuff.”  Steve said to me, “Check it out, don’t I look like I own all of these big tractors and earth movers?”

I caught a glimpse of a boy playing in the dirt with his tractors and stuff.

Sure honey, you own it all.
