before and after

Honestly, I am almost done with kitchen remodel blog posts. Almost. There were a few moments when we were questioning our decisions. But right now, we’re all feeling really good about what we’ve created (with the help of Ikea). I’ve heard Oprah say “your home should rise up to meet you” and my response has always been “yeah, yeah, other people’s homes.” I feel like I am on my way to a meet-you-in-the-middle-at-least home. We still have the chalkboard backsplash to finish, art for the walls, and there is still a pile of stuff in the garage. Oh, and now the rest of the house….

BEFORE (just in case you we need a reminder):

And today:

For a bonus,  I got to keep the wasabi/green tea wall. It’s a small wall, but it makes me happy. And don’t tell anyone, but I found curtains for the sliding glass door in the same color.
