Yesterday someone gave me advice about my photography. It was about not getting too wacky with weird angles, and paying attention to the horizon line. She said it made the viewer feel like they were falling backwards. It was hard to hear, since one of my go-to devices for not knowing much about the technical end of photography are weird angles. But this morning I found myself straightening my Project 365 photo. Go figure, she was right. It did make the photo better.
Since I only have four more days until I am a grown-up-immaturity-is-no-excuse-because-now-I-am-a-vintage-53, the advice seemed relevant. Especially the “pay attention” part (that would be mindfulness of the moment). And the horizon line part (that would be sacred values). Don’t think I can give up the weird angles though. That just would be too much, even for the grown-up me.
Happy weekend everyone.
