she’s home

The plane was over 2 1/2 hours late, but who’s counting? We grabbed a quick lunch at Panera, did a little shopping, came home and watched Toby GO NUTS! She’s been waiting four years for a greeting like that….He did that jumping up and down in circles thing–exactly what I wanted to do in the airport, but somehow felt pressured by social mores to contain myself with a long hug instead. Dos Coyotes for dinner (because as wonderful as Vancouver is, they really don’t do Mexican food), then some side-by-side knitting (how is she so much faster than I am?). We did the ornament presents, and then she and Alex laid all over each other and laughed at Home Alone (a movie which actually terrifies me).

As I went to bed, Steve said, “You have your girls.”

Yes, I do.
