toby’s sniffing for a weekend

Yup, I can smell it too…right around the corner.

It’s been a mighty fine week. I wore high heels twice and didn’t fall once, exercised multiple times, had some good ideas at work, blogged about something important at re:design, Kate friended me on Facebook (can I get a woohoo for that?), and for one more week I didn’t have to choose between Glee and Modern Family (and when that does happen, it will be painful). Alex made her fabulous chocolate chip cookies (seriously, this girl makes the best c.c. cookies I have ever had) and I enjoyed them, with restraint. Our family of three had some lovely, cuddly evenings together. Cool mornings, blue sky afternoons and leaves on the ground. No complaints from this corner.

Coming up this weekend–a trip to Ikea to discuss a new kitchen, Alex’s first weightlifting competition of the season, and maybe some new boots.

See you Monday!

Cuddly evenings are just the best. And your kid is a weightlifter, too? When I grow up I want to be as cool as her.

katie, she’s pretty cool. the other one, kate, was a hunter jumper….horse stuff. the softball/weightlifting stuff is way cheaper. alex is also a baker and beatles-trivia expert. and she’s funny and nice. kate is creative and brilliant and fearless. together they are pretty intimidating.
